In the traditional In-house solution, the customer hosts the software on their own hardware and their employees deliver all HR services to their staff. The customer purchases the software licence outright in a one off capital cost and pays an annual software maintenance fee which entitles them to support, software corrections, enhancements and upgrades.

In the SaaS model, Aurion hosts the software on Aurion hardware, at a secure tier 4 data centre but the customer still 'owns' the system and the customer's employees deliver all the HR services. Under a SaaS model, the customer pays an all inclusive monthly fee per person, for a defined contract period - usually three or five years. The monthly fee includes the software, support and hosting components. At the end of the contract term, the customer does not own the licence.

In the two BPO models, the client selects products and services to be hosted and delivered by Aurion. At the top tier of BPO, Aurion hosts the application and delivers the full spectrum of HR services to staff on behalf of the client. Aurion’s Structured Approach

Before a BPO can be implemented, all customers’ work practices are reviewed and documented to:

  • Eliminate inefficiencies and implement best practice, which together reduce the costs of outsourcing and can generate ongoing internal cost savings.
  • Select any desired level of component outsourcing. For example, the client processes payroll entitlements itself, but uses Aurion to run the pay and disburse payments.
  • To produce work practice reviews and deliver a comprehensive statement of work that assists Aurion to quote and reduces ambiguity in managing service level agreements.
